Facebook Terms of Use
The Anglicare NT (ANT) Facebook page provides information on ANT events and programs to create a broad community understanding of the work of ANT and a means for clients of our services to make first contact with our programs.
Please be respectful of all points of view, and refrain from personal attacks on other users.
ANT takes no responsibility for comments on our Facebook page, or any interaction fans may have on or off our Facebook page and will remove any posts which:
• Are likely to be offensive to other users
• Discuss methods of suicide or self harm
• Discuss drug use in an unbalanced way, e.g. omit the negative effects
• Contain unhelpful advice, such as blaming a person for their depression
• Are dogmatic, such as promoting courses of action as “the only way”
• Are racist, sexist or discriminatory
• Are obscene, or uses graphic sexual language
• Are defamatory or overly critical of services or organisations providing help to others
• For any other reason is likely to cause harm or distress to others reading the story
• Are for commercial purposes
• Promote inaccurate, inappropriate or harmful health advice
• Defame ANT or display confidential ANT information
• Promote a service group or product through multiple posts
If information you post tells us:
• You are being seriously hurt by someone else
• You are thinking of seriously harming yourself
• Someone else is being, or is likely to be seriously hurt by you or another person.
We are legally and ethically obliged to try to protect you and/or others by passing contact information to authorities to assist, such as a crisis service or the police. Our preferred way is to support you to seek help.
ANT’s Facebook page does not provide crisis services, counselling, or support. Standard office hours are 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday.
